Protected sites

The 500 North Duncan Street Community Garden is a beautiful oasis in the midst of blocks of vacant housing and an environment dominated by concrete.
Ash Street Garden is located at 3509 Ash Street.
Barclay Oliver Garden, also known as "The BOG" was founded in 2012 by a group of neighbors and artists from Oliver Street, intent on establishing a community garden of raised beds for growing flowers, herbs, and vegetables for personal use. Over time, the BOG has transitioned from raised beds into an inviting green sanctuary bordered by trees, perennials, and murals in the heart of the active urban arts neighborhood.
1816 Brentwood Avenue. Brentwood Commons is a lovely gathering space for the community, with plantings of trees, flowers, shrubs, and ornamental grasses.
Charles M. Halcott Square is a sitting garden at 104 South Duncan Street in Butchers Hill.
The Duncan Street Miracle Garden is a half-acre food garden, covering the 1800 block of Duncan Street.
Fairwood Forest is a biologically diverse 4-acre forest patch along the 5800 – 5900 blocks of Fairwood Avenue in Hamilton, a strong inspiring neighborhood in northeastern Baltimore City.
The farm was started in 2010 on a half-acre lot at 1825 N. Calvert Street with the goal to nurture a beautiful and bountiful and to share knowledge and community.
This 54-acre property owned by the Maryland Port Administration was designated as the nation’s first urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership in 2013. It is home to a green building nature center and beautiful waterfront public trails.
McAllister Park (1811 Townsend Ct.) is a fully fenced pocket park that features a swing set for big kids and tots.
Mount Clare Street Community Garden, half a block from the Hollins Street Market at 1017 Boyd Street, was established in 1999.
Oakenshawe Greenspace is a half-acre neighborhood green space fronting on the 3400 block of Barclay Street.
Oliver Community Farm was started in 2013 on the 1600 block of Ellsworth Street. It is managed by The 6th Branch in partnership with Meraki Community Uplift which provides neighbors with food and educational programming.
The Pigtown Horseshoe Pit sits at 1217 Bayard Street.
Founded in 2008, the Remington Village Green (2812-2822 Fox Street) is a space for growing fruit, vegetables, herbs, native plants, and flowers, to promote community participation, wellness, and sustainable food practices.
4200 St. Georges Ave (across the street) is a 3.5-acre forest that’s over 100 years-old, with dogwalking trails and a freshwater stream.
The Harvest is a community garden located at 623 Homestead Street in the Better Waverly neighborhood.
Behind the 2000 block of Mt Royal Terrace, the Secret Garden is a pocket park in a quiet corner of Reservoir Hill.
The Victorine Q. Adams Memorial Garden is a vegetable garden and community gathering space located on the 3200 block of Vickers Road.
1827 E. Pratt Street. The Upper Fell’s Point Community Garden (1827 E. Pratt Street) is a real gem to neighborhood residents as it is the only green space in their community.

Belvedere Forest is a 0.5 acre plot located in the 700 block of East Belvedere, next to the Belvedere square parking lot.
The BLISS Meadows project is a 10 acre land-reclamation project at the intersection of environmental and food justice located at 5105 Plainfield Ave in Frankford.

The Govans Urban Forest is located on an approximately one-half acre lot in the 5200 block of York Road.
HEPP Park is a 4 acre forest located at the intersection of McClean Blvd and Pinewood Avenue in North West Baltimore.

NMN

NMN N.M.N. Urban forest patch is a half-acre forest patch located behind 1041 E Northern Parkway in North Central Baltimore.

Stillmeadow Peace Park is 10 acres of forest land and a stream located at 5110 Frederick Ave.
Located in Northern Baltimore, Sycamore Chinquapin is a lush green space flanked by Towson, Northern Parkway and Glen Oaks, Chinquapin-Belvedere and Lake Walker neighborhoods.
Wilson Woods is half-acre forest located next to 1005 E. Coldspring Lane.
