Westgate Park

For well over ten years, a dedicated group of neighbors have cared for the community park in the Westgate neighborhood now held in partnership with Baltimore Green Space.

Today, through years of grants and hard labor and input from many, Westgate Community Park is a small oasis where community members meet to eat lunch, enjoy the weather, and play with their kids. Neighbors pitch in to keep it well maintained and free of trash, and its central location in Westgate serves as a welcoming space for the neighborhood to share. In addition, the daycare center across the street uses the park every week most days, to play, have parties and run around on the grounds, weather permitting. Couples come to sit in peace as do families to picnic, dog walkers to amble, and the community to hold various events.
